Think I'd agree Moosey.... maybe I'd have Scary Monsters at equal 3rd.

If side 2 of Low had carried on in the same vein that would be up there too - but I just never 'got' it.

There a good songs on the vast majority of his albums so choosing the best ones is largely pointless.

Some like the Berlin period but I feel his best work was from the beginning to Diamond Dogs with a good comeback in the 80's. Scary Monsters certainly restabished his status.

Just listening to Hunky Dory now Pikey. Haven't listened for a while. Forgot how good it is. Quicksand absolutely amazing. To follow it (ok on side 2) with Fill Your Heart was genius.

Can't think of any significant time over the last forty years when I wasn't listening to Bowie. Need that regular uplifting musical fix and always will.

Radio 6 has been nothing but superb all round today.
