Newspapers reporting that Carroll could be available in January. Seems to have recovered well from his latest set back, and has scored 3 in just 650 minutes of PL football this season, which is almost 1 in 2. He's also very useful in assisting goals with 22 in his last 5 seasons. I think he'd suit our style of play, whilst being far more prolific than Wickham. I'd expect West Ham to want roughly £15 million for his services, however, in the modern market that's what we're going to have to pay for a top 10 PL striker unfortunately! IMO, fart better than what we currently have.

I think he's a great player WHEN FIT...but just like Sturridge you wouldn't take a punt on him as it'd be money down the drain. If we could get him for £10m then I'd take the chance....any more than NOPE

Always scores or creates goals against CPFC. Great in the air. Problem is, he can't hold the ball up well and link play, which CW absolutely does. Once CW starts scoring goals, we'll push on up the league.

I think I heard he is injured again, but perhaps I'm dreaming. Either way, his injury record precludes any sensible interest in my view. I think we all know if you could guarantee his fitness for 30 games a season, Carroll would be a great signing. But you can't so for me, it's not even worth discussing.

If him and Wickham could alternate being injured, he'd fit quite well for us. But with both being a touch 'glass in the legs' it seems an unlikely option - We have enough players who'd be great in a 4-4-2 option, without adding a target man (arguably Chammakh and Wickham fill that role very well).
