Anyone got Paul Warhurst's number?

Now there was a versatile player. He could play in defence, as striker and in the midfield. He was quick, had two good feet, he was strong and was a good passer of the ball but at times could be a bit casual.

He left us to sign for Bolton when Colin Todd was manager.Think he had quite a few clubs after that but don't ask me to name them !

Despite his high levels of cv fitness warhurst was also an asthma sufferer much like Paul scholes. He was much loved at boundary park and was actually first used up front at hillsborough when our very own Mark Bright got injured in the 92 season. He followed our own cookie Coleman in being a very effective emergency striker. Another I think was Marshall at Oldham around the same era who was chucked up front from centre half to be an effective auxiliary striker often in epic cup runs. Oh they were the days.... However Klopp at the moment seems to be returning to this tactic with the signing of their new striker Caulker.....

Good old Ian Marshall !
Used to hold the ball up well but wasn't the quickest if I remember correctly.Good in the air.
I think Allardyce signed him for Bolton and Steve McMahon took him to Blackpool but this was a long time ago so I could be wrong.

I remember the visits of Bolton in the 70s with the legend that is Barry Siddall in goal. Those where the days when football players were proper working class men.

Sydenham by birth. Selhurst by the Grace of God.

His club stats are 1 in 5, same as Wickham. It's no good bringing in another shot shy striker. Adebayor however is 1 in 2.5 far superior although the teams he has played for create far more chances than we do but i would take him in front of Bendtner

Cham, Sanogo, Bendtner?

Does anyone else see a pattern emerging?

I predict in the next transfer window we either sign Eduardo Da Silva or Sylvain Wiltord!

Yeah, but Sanogo hardly played at Arsenal, so not really a fair comparison.

Please..........No !

In nine years at Arsenal he scored very few goals over a span of over 100 appearances. He must have been the worst Arsenal striker of recent times!

In 2014, he scored 1 league goal in about 18 starts.

Please..........No!

Sanogo?!

Matterface and Bunce taking the p*ss out of us on Talksport for showing interest in two of the biggest egos in football. Saying that we'll need to increase the size of the changing rooms. We're turning into a laughing stock.

Put your trust in AP and his management team that run our club and back their judgement. That is what they are paid for and they haven't done a particularly bad job up until now!

I must admit that Bendtner was a surprise but again this is Palace and over the years we have had a few and still survived to tell the tale.

Easy to spend big bucks over the odds in this window and live to regret it. Hopefully Wickham will stay fit and no doubt we will sign an additional striker which, will get us by until the end of the season then we can buy sensibly.

Keep the faith!!

Bring back Brolin

Only because people actually believe this shyte...just how many players have we been linked with in the past few seasons and HOW MANY have actually been true?

Its silly season, agents trying to manoeuvre deals for their clients as well as desperate journos making shyte up to fill column inches.

As someone else said Parish is in charge of the Finances and if they don't fit with the clubs wage structure or are vastly better than what we already have then there will be no deal.

Chillaxxxxx
