Contract "Release clause" means nothing other than other than it's a minimum fee both club and player have agreed if another club comes knocking, meeting that release clause only give the bidding club the right to talk to the player nothing more, it's up to the player if he wants to listen or not, and neither the player or his club are legally bound by the clause, only the club is legally bound to accept the offer and give permission to the approaching club to speak to the player, nothing else.

still think the player has to agree. why would he go back to the championship when he play in the PL?
