Quite agree, within reason. There is a point to political correctness, which often gets missed, its not an end in its own right, but a means of highlighting inequality in power relationships within a society; such as relates to race and gender.

So, an irony of this, is that the likes of many Politically Incorrect comedians, such as Frankie Boyle, is that they're in fact not politically incorrect. Much of their humour ironically causes us to question our own apriori and subtexual (i think) understanding of language, which is where racial prejudice is largely manifested

A great example of this is The US Office with the 'Chris Rock' moment (similarly the UK) - the point of use of the N word is neither racist or politically incorrect, because its use makes us address issues of race and racism within society, culturally and psychology - and really cleverly, ideas of reverse racism.

There is a big difference between say calling someone a **** to get a laugh, and then using the word **** to lampoon racists or criticise racism.

Sadly, many people who shout political correctness, don't understand that the idea of political correctness is to correct people, but to get them thinking and talking about issues, even if its absurdly stupid (like Ba-Ba-Black Sheep being racist - Which patently isn't true or a real story - in thinking about it, you can't help but think about racism and address your own understanding).

For me political correctness is just another way for the purse lipped lunatics of the left to stifle free speech.

An example is you can't call some one from pakistan a p@ki. All P@ki is, is an abbreviation of pakistan. If someone is from Scotland we call them a Scot don't we?
But of course we can't use the other word.

There are many incidences of free speech being stifled by p*l*t**l c**r*ectness and stopping us using plenty of innocent words.
The absolute lunacy and downright f**king stupidity that goes on in the name of political correctness borders on-and I've said it before-mental illness at best, crass stupidity at worse.

How this kind of deranged behaviour ever became accepted as the norm I will never ever know.
