7 points clear, and 6 games till the entire plastic population of the big 5 end up throwing away their replica shirts.

There was a thing on BBC breakfast the other day about fans in Thailand all disowning their Manchester United shirts for Leicester ones. 12 months ago the club shop was closed and going out of business, now the shirts have sold out. Fickle, fair weather

Great achievement, maybe the greatest achievement since the inception of the Moneybags league (probably eclipsing Blackburn's achievement). It'll be interesting if they can keep their squad more or less intact, because Blackburn couldn't.

But its a massive achievement and an inspiration to the league, that financial domination isn't everything, that good players can be found elsewhere.

Easily eclipses Blackburn. They had spent best part of £9m on their two first team strikers of that year, never mind the rest of the squad and that was over 20 years ago.

Optimistic as ever

Warmest congratulations to Leicester City on their tremendous achievement. They proved millions wrong and for many a month many were expecting what they believed would be an inevitable collapse and a spectacular "Fall from grace".

To think that Leicester were bottom at Christmas in 2014 but were top at Christmas in 2015 and were many peoples favourites for relegation particularly after Ranieri was appointed. What a fantastic story.
