'Every week The UK pays £350m to be part of The EU' is the claim that FAILS to disclose The EU Rebates filtering back into The UK to support the likes of the farming industry and regions of social & economic difficulty e.g. Cornwall & Wales have all benefited from such payments to date. The farming industry is indeed hugely reliant upon EU subsidies.

ERM.......wrong I live in a farming community, the massive big farms benefit from the subsidies, the small to medium ones don't,there are many farms where I live.....and not one wants to remain.

always a Norwood boy, where ever I live.

You lot are still sleeping, WAKE UP... Why do you think there is a total news blackout of the rioting taking place in Paris and Calais?

Yep, there is truth in this but that is also partly due to the reality that there have been frequent bouts of social unrest and demonstration in France and across Europe in recent years. UK media has adopted a complacent attitude to such matters choosing to deploy bulk of attention to what has happened within The UK rather than factors from outside that are slowly influencing the problems of tomorrow. The migrant crisis is a global issue and not just consigned to EU.

The French media are not reporting any of this either [Link]
Is total madness! But it's already too late to vote out. Vote IN is engineered to win and nothing you can do about it. There will be mass rioting across London within 18 months, far worse than what's happening in Paris and Calais today.

sCameron quote "Being in Europe, working with our closest neighbours and partners to tackle these threats, makes Britain safer."
Laughable isn't it when you watch what is really unfolding.

Whilst, meanwhile, fishing communities all round the country sit in port having used up their pathetic allocations for fish from our waters and watch the fleets from France, Spain and everywhere else, take 3 - 9 times the amount and sell it back to us at an inflated price. (which of course then counts as an 'import' from the EU).

.....or for a more balanced read about the impact on UK fishing you could read this: 'the EU has helped not harmed the UK fishing industry'

Great article...... so the quotas are based on 'historical factors' and used to help fish stock recovery..... so those countries who came into British Territorial waters with stonking great trawlers and scraped the seabed to destruction get the reward of a higher quota, whilst our fishermen who trawled more responsibly get theirs reduced.

Oh, and there was of course the wonderful CFP idea of second and third boat reduction schemes, to lessen the impact of the CFP as it killed off generations of fishing families.

That article has so much slant on it, I'm surprised it doesn't slip off the page altogether.

Actually I lied because I will post one further piece of information about this campaign and it is a FACT, not conjecture!

[Link]

Net migration to UK rises to 333,000 according to this BBC report.

This headline does more damage to Dave (Mr Potato Head) Cameron's Remain campaign than any threat regarding the economy, jobs or anything else he can dream up.

Undecided voters will be galvanised into joining Out/Leave on hearing this piece of factual news as opposed to dodgy biased guesstimates.

Our waters would only officially extend about seven miles from the coast. Seas are largely independent.

Not that I disagree in principle to the exit from the EU, given its structure and its capacity to promote corporate interests over national and citizens interests.

I'd hope so, but its not actually as clear cut as that, because it would require the government in question to pursue an anti-corporate agenda in addition to leaving the EU. The problem we, citizens of the UK, face is that as far as government and corporate interests are concerned, high working migration is a profitable business (the state generates extra revenue on a migrant workers compared to a state worker, over their working life, and corporate interests get to keep wages low).

Just leaving the EU isn't enough, because neither Labour nor the Conservatives have shown any real desire to change this (in fact for the most part both parties are pro-EU).

The downside, if the UK leaves the EU, possibly the only party that has broached this subject (and I don't trust them on it either) is UKIP. With the UK outside of the EU, UKIP loses its core philosophical basis.

Problem as well, is that are its core, UKIP is a 'Conservative Splinter Party', and very pro-Corporate interest. Likely they'd control migration more, but you'd still see high levels of cheap imported labour.

Ending working migration towards the interests of British Citizens and workers, is a major issue for any party as it will have very serious economic knock on effects (higher cost of living as wage increases are passed to the consumer, potential off shoring, a housing crash which would be disastrous for many UKIP supporters who have 'bought to let*').

* Arguably removing that surplus of population produced by migration from the economy, will gut the rental markets, and consequently the housing market. Good news, if you don't own a house or paid off your mortgage, but otherwise its going to create a lot of negative equity and forclosure.
