I think part of it may be that this has come up a few times recently on the BBC sport website and I don't know why they're wasting money on it, nor trying to promote it when it's not even a British fighter.

I could possibly understand if it was Bisping and he was unbeaten or champion, but he's neither and by all accounts got a home decision at the O2.

I don't find choking out, tapping out or pummelling someone on the ground in the head with your elbows and knees entertaining. They need better rules.

which means it's just not the sport for you. It's supposed to be a coming together of all fighting styles. If you start taking away elbows, knees etc which are fundamental to many fighting styles then it is too far removed from what it's supposed to be. Some would say, and I'd agree to an extent, that the rule changes that have already been made have meant some martial arts are just not effective in UFC even though they are practically good styles 'on the street'. Of course I understand the health/safety and acceptability reasons behind the changes.

The ground fighting is more wrestling/brawling than any martial art.

Elbows and knees wouldn't be so bad if they were restricted to using them only while standing up and not smacking them in the head when they're on the mat.

Optimistic as ever

Back yard brawlers with wwe promotion.

I'm glad mcgregor lost just for having the audacity to call out mayweather a master of the sweet science.
