Gender and sexuality

I discovered recently that the umbrella classification for anyone other than us boring lot who are still the same gender as they were born and are 100% definitely not attracted to anyone of the same sex is now LGBTQ The new Q standing for 'queer' (as in not fitting in to any of the other categories) which I previously assumed was a derogatory term. I've heard Stephen Fry refer to himself as such possibly because he apparently doesn't engage in intercourse. Then I came across this article by a chap in which he has to apologise for an earlier article he wrote in which he implies the negatives of being bisexual outweigh the benefits of being able to present himself as a straight man Is this Huffington Post liberalism actually that common? Because this sort of over-analysis seems to run contrary to the gay people I know who are mostly very direct.

I had been told that the Q in LGBTQ actually stood for "questioning" in that it was a person that hadn't decided their sexuality. Like Morrissey from the Smiths and (allegedly) Kevin Spacey. I've been ticking that box on all of my company's diversity and inclusion output because I once got myself off looking at a photo of a lady boy, but still not really sure I could touch another person's willy. That said, I have also been putting myself down as Chinese.

That said, I have also been putting myself down as Chinese. I met him twice, when I worked in a bookshop. Both times he came in with a couple of 'gentlemen who were very good with colours'. I think he's pretty certain in his sexuality, but as is his right, prefers for the personal to remain personal. I quite agree, I don't really care about peoples gender or sexuality, provided their happy, I'm happy. Its a shame that we actually feel that defining people by gender or sexuality has any real relevance in the 21st century. My problem with bisexuality, is that in simply doubled the number of people who didn't want to have sex with me.

I'd always thought that most people would fit into the Q section, given that for the most part people seem to be more into 'things they like and that get them off' rather than straight forward basic intercourse. Sex is itself as an act is rather boring. Its all the little things that go through your head and that you do that make it great, that count, not what sexual organs your partner has. I think its rather boring to define oneself by a simple v*****l preference. I see my sexuality as defined by my kinks.
