Pretty impressive killing that fooled the police into thinking it was natural causes, and it wasn't discovered until a week later that he had actually been shot six times!

But the main point of my post is this - The crime is going to be featured on BBC's Crimewatch programme. Why would anyone, if they had any information regarding this, be crazy enough to go to the police?! Really? You'd have to be pretty naive to get involved in this. And you probably wouldn't live long enough to either appear in court or enjoy any reward (if there is one).

f*** him, live by the sword.......

Crimewatch is getting on my nerves, won't feature terrorist attacks but will show this?

I am sure that there are far more deserving unsolved cases

When was the last terrorist on the run that the public could have given better information to help than the security services?

Ohhh I dont know, how about everytime a young Muslim is turned towards terrorism and buggers off to Syria.

How about a crime watch special on this individual, or doesnt that fit into your lefty agenda.

Surely it's pretty poor policing, rather than pretty impressive killing.

Their scenes of crime officers must be useless.

Isn't Crime Watch for getting people to come forward with information regarding known crimes the police don't have evidence of a suspect for? It seems they know who this guy is.

Must admit its been a while since I watched it, but if they actually broadcast an episode identifying a suspect for a crime by name and photo who they know has committed an offence, then it would prejudice any future trial.

Why would it feature terrorist attacks? I'm struggling to think of any current unsolved terrorist attacks in the UK, that MI-5, Special Branch and the Police are stumped for evidence on.

I'm guessing the guy may have had a cast on, been shot through the cast, and then the shooter might have plugged the holes. Maybe.

If they 'policed their brass' (to quote Gibbs) and the bullets didn't come out the otherside, then there wouldn't be a lot of evidence for a SOCO to find.

More likely I suspect, the police probably treated it like an accidental death without really checking thoroughly, and then got embarrassed at the autopsy when the doctor produced bullets.

Or bent cops, like in the Daniel Morgan murder.

He'd had keyhole surgery, why would he have a cast on? Never mind that hitmen don't generally carry bandages and plaster of paris.

They mistook it for a cardiac arrest, which is ridiculous.

It's hard to just assume without knowing all the facts but how on earth have 6 bullet holes to the chest been missed??

A handgun wound usually looks like a cigarette burn and I can only assume there was no exit wounds (far messier!)

If you are called to any body, even if it's been there months you have to lift up clothing etc, look for any injuries, suspicious marks and have to turn it over. Hate turning the rotting ones over!!

Very strange it was missed. Also it may not of been the police that turned up. If a family member found him and believed he had suffered a heart attack then an ambulance would of been called. Still, the Paramedics should of spotted 6 gunshot wounds!!

Very strange!

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!
