Both very nice indeed. If push came to shove, I'd go for Bath.

Very much worth a visit. There are usually people in the town centre selling walking tours of the colleges. My advice s take one, it is very good. They take you round the best places and tell you the history.

I've lived in Oxford for 35 years, and never seen Clarkson. Seen Morse, Lewis and Jeremy Paxman though. Let me know what your interests are and I could put some ideas to you. Blenheim Palace, nearby, requires a minimum of half a day, or you might like the idea of a tour of the MINI factory for a couple of hours.

Great pubs. Check out the turf and from memory I think it's called the chequers but from the main cross roads walk down the high street a few yards and it is down an alleyway on the right. Like stepping back a century or 2. The covered market is good for a wonder around as are the colleges. Great city. Bath is great as well
