Regards, A.Villa players, I think Ashley Westwood will attract some attention.Excellent passer of a ball - high passrate and Paul Lambert said he never gives the ball away.He can also score from 25 yard free kicks.Perhaps he would fit Swansea's bill?

I know of another PL club eyeing Jordan Veretout, an accomplished dribbler and adept at tackles but discipline has been a bit of a problem with a number of bookings.

Good call regarding Westwood.

Just looking at players from teams likely to be/already relegated
Tim Krul- genuine upgrade on what we have
Tim Klose- Norwich looked solid until he got injured
Mamo Sissoko- inconsistent but can be a beast when his head is right
Nathan Redmond- great competition for Wilf and Yala
Ashley Westwood- decent player in an awful team
Those 5 would be around £30-£35m
I think we should then be looking to spend £20-£25m on a creative midfielder (Vazquez at Palermo looks class) and a partner for Wickham

Out
Paddy Mac- too old
Macarthy- not good enough
Fryers- say no more!
Campbell- not enough goals
Hangeland- too old
Lee- very surprised if he stays
Mutch- potential but we need to make room for someone proven

Realistically, we would have to spend around £60m to stand still- the market is going to get silly this Summer with the TV money

I agree plus with the euros anyone attending will be with a few million more. Tim krull would be a great signing. And I agree with all of your outs except maybe keep Mutch could improve plus probably on low ish wages. Personally I think Germany is where we should look so many good young players that are cheaper than here. Don't get me wrong I'd love an all English or British starting line up but value for money is Germany and France I think.

I think Mutch could be a breakthrough player next season.

I hope you're right mate but can we afford to take the risk?

Ultimately we need to keep hold of Dann, Cabaye and Macathur- I think we would have been down had two of them been injured for a long spell at the same time

Subject to the legal process Chad Evans could become available in January. He may well think that further employment with Sunderland is not a good idea.

Now these aren't all for the first team but more to overhaul our thin squad... Not 100% sure on costs so please advise where I'm wrong.

Buy:

Freddie Woodman - £2m?
Gylfi Sigurdsson - £10m?
Aleksandar Mitrovic - £7m?
Callum Wilson - £8m
Andros Townsend - £8m
Joe Allen - £6m?
Bradley Dack - £2m
Fosu-Mensah (buy or loan) or van Aanholt £7m?
Ashley Williams - £10m?

Total: £60m

Sell or release:
Adebayor
Campbell
Chamakh
Hangeland
Paddy Mac
Mutch
Lee

Say all gone for £10m, equals a net spend of £50m. Adding strength in depth to all areas of the team.
