GK - Honestly no idea. Probably best to look abroad?

RB - Rafael from Lyon (ex-Utd). Lyon have had a terrible season & I think Rafael would link up incredibly well down the right hand side with Wilf or Yannick. Wouldnt cost much I believe Lyon only paid around £2.5m for him.

CB - Caulker? Klose from Norwich has looked good since signing in January. Can we look abroad here as well? Mbemba has a lot of potential and could learn from Dann / Delaney before taking over full time from Damo in the 2017/18 season.

LB - Gibbs.

MF - Diame from Hull, Jack Cork from Swansea, maybe James Ward-Prowse from Southampton on loan? Would be nice to have someone who can actually take a decent free kick or corner in the team.

ST - We need another Wickham-esque target man, would LOVE us to spend £15-20m on Benteke but its a long shot. Mitrovic also fits the bill here. Defoe would be worth the £80k a week if Sunderland go down.

Is Ibra on the other side of the list?

He does deserve a page to himself after all...

Definite starters next season:

Dann
McCarthur
Cabaye
Zaha
Bolasie
Wickham

Possibly Puncheon and Ward

All other starting places need (significant) upgrade:

GK
CB
LB
M
S/CF

Five good signings if we are serious about competing.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

What a giggle reading all these pages, you know Palace will only buy knew players 24 hours before next season starts,----when all the decent players have gone elsewhere.

As much as some of the list provided are s***e, we shouldn't rule out anyone coming from a relegated side - there's good value to be found there;

Would have a look at any of;

Ayew
Grealish
Gueye
Wijnaldum
Krul
Mbemba
Perez
Kirchoff
M'Vila

The idea that anyone who plays for a side that goes down isn't good enough for the division is baffling - AJ, Routledge and Aki were more than good enough for the divison when we last went down. [/quote

Yes, I would agree that Ayew, Gueye, M'Vila (out of contract this summer), Perez and Wijnaldum could add to the squad. Maybe Defoe as well. All seem to be putting in decent performances in struggling teams. Gueye would be a good defensive midfielder to acquire - second only to Kante it seems in tackling stats.

Pardew's probable current shopping list:

Semi-skinned milk (1 litre)
Dozen eggs
Multi-pack baked beans
Loaf of bread
Pizza for Saturday night in front of MOTD
Bottle of Pinot Grigio to share with the Mrs
Etc

Don't you think that AP must laugh at the wild speculation that is being banded about regarding potential forthcoming transfers? Surely Parish & Pards need to confirm future of current team squad members as part of the process of having the capital to bring in fresh blood.

Too many players enter the rumour mill courtesy of their agents and the tabloids needing to fill in column inches

Not spot on. It beggers belief why people think Connor Wickham is a guaranteed starter! Pards plays 3 behind the main man up front. Wickham in my opinion can play with another up top but not on his own and doesn't suit our style.
We are crying out for a 15+ goal scorer which are very hard to come by but that's what we need more than anything.
If we signed a GK (Hennessey not good enough either), a decent CB and a 15+ scorer that's really all the starting 11 would need...perhaps then a Townsend or a Redmond (as Sako doesn't cut it for me at the level and there needs to be competition all over the pitch).
There is no way this team will improve based on relying on Wickham up front on his own.
