Three words.

Underground car park.

Two words...too expensive.

..definitely the way to go.

Add the word way to those two. The subsoil cannot hold the necessary foundation, it would flood out since it would be in a vale and to waterproof it would be unforgivably expensive. We would need water pumps to keep seepage out, just like the New York City Subway system.

Knowing Palace, despite pocketing £100m from the Americans, the club will still play the 'poor Palace' card to the fans and come up with some crazy 25 year debenture scheme or lifeline lottery to fund it.

I thought we were starting with the main stand?

Surely the Sainsbury thing is not the priory? Just get on and release the plans for the old stand ffs.

I know planning takes time, but we've been back playing with the big boys for 3 years now and we are still no further forward.

At this rate, we won't turn Our s*** hole into the San Selhurst in my lifetime.

Yeah, we haven't started building a new stand yet, so Parish must've legged it to Acapulco with the money.

I've just done a little research and the club car park is leased to us by Sainsbury's, so to build on part of it, as we plan to do for the new Main Stand, would require either their permission or purchasing it from them. See the link below to our request to put a temporary club shop in the club car park for confirmation:

Interestingly we got planning permission for the club shop; wonder why that never went ahead?:

Who mentioned anything about building? I think I used the words Plans & planning FFS

Well done Dave, thanks for that. I wondered why they never built that as well. That also said the permission expires in July so we could be back to square one again.

It's just so frustrating that things appear to move so slowly when it comes to anything to do with the stadium.

I know exactly what you mean Nick. I couldn't find any indication that we'd submitted anything to the council with respect to the Main Stand, so I really can't see anything happening anytime soon.
