There is too much money being spent on mediocre players like Ki Seung Yeung and Janmaat. Also, Too many players leaving. Where would our backup be.
On the other hand I would sign some of these players if we spend a bit less
Some good suggestions there.

You have to laugh, don't you? Only May, June, July and August (except for 31st) to go before we find out that 99% of the speculation on here was actually BS.

Is this a wind up? Robbie Brady can barely nail down a starting 11 place in a Norwich side devoid of any creativity. Same situation with Ki and you'd spend £16m on the pair of em??

Also I suggest you actually watch some Newcastle games from this season and you'll discover that Janmaat is absolutely shocking defensively and is not an upgrade on Joel Ward (and I'm by no means Ward's biggest fan).

These 2 would be great signings, particularly Sigurdsson a goalscoring midfielder. Personally I don't feel we need more than 4-5 players, quality over quantity. A goalie, new centre back, goalscoring midfielder and perhaps 2 proven strikers in the EPL. Obviously this relies on none of our present major players leaving.I would be looking at spending about £40 million.

Can't see us being in for any of the players listed at all. Would be highly unlikely if we were to splurge 17 million on Batshuayi or 11 million on Sigurdsson.

As for outs, I can see Hangeland, Mutch, Adebayor, Mariappa, Chamakh and Fryers all leaving.

townsend 8 mill

gibbs 11 mill

jordan pickford england U21 keeper for sunderland very good keeper 3 mill

i might get slated for this but john terry he wont be getting 1st team action at chelsea next season still has couple years left in him obviously good experience 2-3 mill

sigurdsson 11 goals 3 assit so far this season no reason why he cant match that next season with us 10 mill

2 strikers i wont even attempt to say who so hard to call with some many strikers

but that would be solid as for orignal post of outs

Julian Speroni
Zeki Fryers
Adrian Mariappa
Paddy McCarthy
Brede Hangeland
Joe Ledley
Jordon Mutch
Jonny Williams(loan)
Lee Chung-Young
Maroune Chamakh
Emmanuel Adebayor

i would add gayle to that i feel he only signed contract extension to be sold in the summer to get maximum value for him

prob looking at 30 mill for all them players out enough to balance the books for new targets

No chance £30 mil. They are are on big wages so hard enough to get rid of, especially when they know you don't want them anymore. Ledley, Mutch, Chungy, Gayle, Williams (who I think we should let go for his own good) we will never get £30 mil for them. £15 mil possibly, £10mil more than likely.

The rest are out of contract or won't get a fee or nobody will take.

We need 6 but I'd settle for 4-5 as you say, and seeing as 4 or 5 quality will cost £40mil, why try to get 6 inferior for £40mil.

I hope his 11 are targets and not we should get al 11, total cost £69mil. That's good planning. Sign all your players all out once so they don't integrate and then all contracts expire or you can't sell them on gradually and you're stuffed.

Thats a lot of money spent on 10 players, only 2 of which; Sigurdsson and Batshauyi, would actually improve the first XI. Janmaat isn't good enough to clean Martin Kelly's boots.

Why do we need 10 new players? Lets slowly build this squad, 4 or 5 solid signings will suffice.

£69 mil. Besdides the cost it's highly risky because all their contracts' expire or are up for renewal within 12 months. Great if they're all a success, but they never will be, cheap or expensive players.

Do ok and they all want increases based on time left on contract. Do badly and they're all the same way down their contracts and worth the same proportion of their initial cost while the team sinks lower and nowhwere to move.
