This is my point exactly. They want to leave but just to spite England and Wales they'll vote to be a part of the EU! That means that they won't have any independence! Just to spite England! And it's also motivated by raging nationalistic sentiment! They're pathetic!

Their slogan should be 'We're independent now......BUT KEEP SENDING THE MONEY!!!'

Maybe Scotland is better off in the EU, economically and politically. Its a small economy country, with a lot of focus on exports and tourism, with a growing technology sector that is often reliant on importing labour to meet demands.

I find it weird that you would assume that its anti-English, given that a lot of English people seem to also want to stay in the EU as well. I think, come the referendum, it'll be at best a close call, not a 'landslide' for an exit. I could be wrong, but a lot of people I know seem to be very pro-Europe.

Preparing the made-up excuses for a majority 'in' vote already? That's a bit defeatist.

I do get the impression you lot are becoming 'resigned' though.

Maybe, just maybe, for workers rights, for the ex-pats, for the economy, for trade, for those that like to travel, for the less likelihood of conflict, etc.....we are possibly better off...you know...remaining?

No, we'll be out soon and Scotland will go their own. Better?

After the PIIGS debacle, I doubt very much if they'd qualify for EU membership as an independent country.

Hell, they wouldn't even be able to enter the Eurovision Song Contest.

At least that would spare us some tartan clad fool, singing lustily about glens & other nonsense, in a vain attempt to make Scotland seem like a romantic place, when in fact it is full of heroin, AIDS, knives, dog poo and rickets.

Leaked papers show that the EU negotiated TTIP deal includes a clause where US pharmaceutical multinationals can sue EU member states for lack of profit. Would quite like that not to happen to be honest, would imagine that would resonate with a lot of lefties.

Probably not though. They'll vote Remain and sing "imagine there's no countries" in starry eyed, fluffy clouded wonder.

The Greens exposed this yet want to stay in the EU.

Why not back the guaranteed solution to avoid TTIP rather that bleat on about the EU preserving the rights which it would likely erode.

The problem with the Remaniacs is they have no sense of national identity. They loath everything that is great about England and they think we're all a bunch of nasty colonialist thugs, that's why they love the idea of us being superseded into a European super state and being told what to do by faceless and un-elected beurocrats. Just to think our grandfathers and forefathers fought for freedom from this kind of thing and the tyranny of forced rule only for these self hating clowns to undo all that they fought for. I feel strongly about this having been a serving soldier and fighting in the theater of war. No doubt some leftist clown will call me a baby killing monster for revealing I was a soldier. That actually happened to a friend of mine who was walking down the street in his uniform with his colleagues. This is the kind of warped mentality of the left and bremain. If I didn't know better I'd say they were in the advanced stages of mental illness...whoops!

Had a debate with guy (a lawyer no less), whose postion was that we should remain so as not to give any more power to the Tories. Again the despicible hypocricy of selective support for democracy

What a load of reactionary, angry bollocks. With non-sarcastic and genuine respect for your service, don't assume that anyone who isn't desperate for a Brexit is even one of the things you claim they are in that post.

Some would argue that such closed-mindedness and abuse for anyone with a different view to yours is the typical, warped mentality of the right and brexiteers. I wouldn't, because I respect your right to your own views.

Perhaps you should do the same, even if you don't want to understand why other people think differently to you.

For the record, an EU super state is only marginally less horrific a prospect than the Tories scaring the electorate into voting them in again and proceeding to finish the job of selling off all our national instiutions to their mates whilst telling us how lucky we are to be safe from all those foreigners.

The other side of the coin is everyone for Brexit being seen as some sort of racist.

It's certainly not angry, boll0ck5 or reactionary. My opinion is born out of years leftist rule that has eroded our identity as a nation, seen powers signed away, our borders abandoned just for the sake of multi culturalism and the absolute obsession of the left when it comes to said subject IS bordering on mental illness if you ask me. Who cares if there isn't enough asians in the police force, or not enough Afro Carribeans in the fire brigade? Now that IS boll0cks. I'd rather people who can do the job than ludicrous quotas met because some idealist has got a hard on about social engineering. For the love of God and all that's holy, I wonder when this absolute madness is going to end but it shows no sign of abating and we are more than happy to sign all our powers and right to self governance away because of some ideal being chased by people who are, quite frankly, bl00dy deluded.
