Brighton fans have been complaining about Stephen's red card. Claiming that he initially pulled out yellow, saw the gash on Rodrigez, and changed the card to a red. I may be biased, but I don't see how it's wrong for the ref to change his mind after seeing the damage done by the challenge.

Watched the game in the pub before walking up to the ground. I thought the red was harsh, there was no intent there from Stephens, he hasn't kicked out. It's just what happens in contact sport, a yellow was fair. The ref should judge the tackle itself in real time. It was a nasty cut but I don't think you should be sent off for injuring someone accidentally.

That's a fair argument. I thought you could argue it was a dangerous challenge to cut a player like that, and that's what refs take into consideration. But on reflection I agree, both players went in hard. No malice though

So Sheffield Wednesday will have to endure somebody sh1tt1ng in their dressing room for the return leg then.

The Owls will give em a good bumming.

Maybe we should hire a "s***ting ninja" to sneak into the Wednesday dressing room before the game just to be safe although Bannan may oblige seeing as he knows the effect it can have!!!

I remember Ollie saying at the time after that he didn't need to give a team talk because it fired our boys up so much. Baring that in mind a sh1tt1ng ninja certainly isn't a bad idea

Good and appropriate responses from the BHA fans - pleased to see that. They say that the moron responsible was nicked and the young lad who was attacked was assisted by two BHA fans. Fair play to them.

Looked at their forum last night saw this and a part of me wished them well in the play-offs as one of their guys had suggested making the lad mascot in the REMF Charity game.I know its a genuine rivalry but situations like this one show the true meaning of football family and those supporters who took the time to post on that thread should be applauded and always welcome at our club.I posted a long time ago that its the fear of losing to them in the PL that drives a lot of us to not want them to get promotion and i stick by that comment. If they manage to get up the anticipation of those two games would be almost that of a semi-final and as supporters those are the days you live for so how can that possibly be a negative thing.

Wouldn't bet against Bannan scoring a goal over both legs.

Or over both arms if his chipping is on song.

I hope they make it up so we can play them in the EPL and enjoy the build ups the actual matches etc etc.
