Exactly this. He was overmatched but far from disgraced himself. Same thing happened to him as happened to Connor McGregor recently (albeit UFC)...very hard to move up two weight classes. Actually, more or less impossible. Good payday, reputation intact. Exactly what you said, Goch.

Heart of a Lion...Chin made of glass.

He was boxing really well up until the overhand right...I fear he'll end up a clichéd boxer who wont know when to stop....and then the £9m he earned from the 18mins work will be used to pay for his care.

Agree with all that Syd however, that type of a knock out does affect a boxer, it was a savage knock out. Hopefully now he will be forced to fight Kell brook who will knock him out again.

How do you force a boxer (without a title) to fight someone?

He's still keeping Brook hanging exactly as Hatton did with Witter, and like that one I doubt it will ever happen.

He's the mandatory challenger for Danny Garcia I believe, so if he wins that he can do what he likes again.

He's a shytehawk who is avoiding Brook as he knows he will get slapped up. Can't stand the cocky t w a t t.

I do find the desperation from Brook quite amusing though. He's a world title holder and shouldn't lower himself to begging someone for a fight. He did it yet again on Saturday, and today Khan has yet again said "not interested".

He should be doing what Fury did to Haye, i.e. be the one saying you're not getting a shot at my belt for dicking me about before.

It's a bit different.

Haye pulled out of 2 fights in a row with Fury and wasted a year of the blokes career. As much as I hate Fury I totally get why he'd never bother with Haye.

The problem Khan has is the same as Canelo has - everyone wants Khan vs Brook and everyone wants GGG vs Alvarez. In boxing it's all about egos and legacy - if Khan never fights Brook that's all he'll ever be known for.

Khan is afraid of getting KO'd by Brook - it's as simple as that.

I was in a nightclub in Manchester and he bowled in and said if he didnt get his own area roped off they would leave and he would make sure the manager got fired as he had money to burn. The owner was called down ans asked him who he was and said that the upstairs Vip section was full and if he wanted to stay had to remain downstairs. After giving it the biggun he stompped out. Actually made my night.
He is also known for treating women like s***.

Sorry I stand corrected

I was going by his public image I don't know the guy personally

I know the background but I wasn't comparing the situations, only the way he should be presenting himself in the media. It doesn't matter if you mean it or not, like Fury is doing with the "good luck Wlad" malarkey.

The Khan & Brook scenario is almost identical to Hatton & Witter, and which of those two still gets looked up to by the media?

You want to watch boxing as a sport then follow the amateurs, professional boxing is first and foremost a buisness.
like it or not Khan can make x amount against numerous fighters, could sell out stadiums over here or America and would probably be PPV in the states. Brook can't and it makes no sense for Hearn as a business man to risk him over in America, his got exclusive rights with sky sports, will sell out arenas over here and get PPV against low risk mamdatory's. If you was a promoter you would do the same. Brook needs to take responsibility as theres nothing stopping him doing what degale has done and built his reputation in the states and now has massive pull when it comes to dealing with matchroom. Untill brook is a worldwide name then it won't happen, it's too much of a risk for khan with no added financial bonus.

Brook will fight vargas next. Think a good fight for khan would be broner, think both camps would fancy it and after would more than likely see brook defend against error spencer Jr and khan fighting garcia, providing they both win. So khan vs brook is still a way off.

You have grasped the nettle of what I have been saying each time Khan v Brook has been mooted on here.

It's laughable people would suggest one is scared of the other. They are professional boxers and would fight for free but it is their profession which is short and dangerous. Every fighter in the world will weigh up risk against financial reward.its Not the best for fans yet you can't blame them.

It is amazing Khan keeps his credibility intact despite failing all the big tests and being put on his backside so many times. He didn't even win his Olympic final which put him in the spotlight, even Fraudley did that.

Promised much and delivered little...if anything
