I know we shouldn't read too much into things, but I reckon last night's result was good for us.

Without Champions League, LVG is surely getting the sack. With everyone knowing he's going, he's not going to get the best out of his players for the Final - his last game. Remember City's performance under Mancini against Wigan in the 2013 Final - all the players looked unmotivated.

No doubt Man U have dangerous players (particularly Martial) but this is an average looking team. And like black eagle said, they can't defend set pieces.

Have you ever been on a coach where the windows were smashed by stones and glass bottles?

I suppose you're so hard that you'd stick your head through the broken glass not worrying about your eyesight!

The Manure players did what all sensible people do in that hostile situation... take cover to avoid injury.

Have to agree with you on this mate.

In 53 years of watching league football, there is only one ground where I have been attacked personally inside the ground and that was at Upton Park in 1981.

I fought them off and sought a bit of refuge from the Police on duty and one of them said "If you can't take it, don't come here!".... I then noticed he had a WHUFC hammer badge on his tunic.

Says it all.

If you ever saw the Hooligan documentary where the ICF allowed the BBC journo in for a few months you'll have seen the police cctv. 1 or 2 late arriving Spurs casual fans were enticed into a situation outside under the stand before the match where I think they might have been cut quite badly.

Then they knew where the cctv was although letting the BBC in is never really that smart (the top few never spoke to them). Now they're all over youtube and Sky News and their supporters are shopping them. Why do you see this stuff on youtube because nobody has grabbed the phone off the Timothy and chucked it away?

The new ground will probably be worse on occasions like Spurs, Chelsea, Man Utd etc. More cheaper and available tickets and people who don't really care about bans or how easy it is to be arrested that day or after the day as they rarely go anyway.

that knobber Sullivan in complete denial about the events of last night.

Official club statement: "It was an extraordinary night full of extraordinary moments in front of extraordinary fans. 99 percent of whom behaved impeccably and were a credit to the Club.

"We have already had thousands of tweets and emails from fans to say how proud they were to be a part of such a special evening in West Ham's history.

"However, we are aware that there were some supporters outside the Boleyn Ground who didn't act in an appropriate way when the Manchester United team bus was damaged."

99%??? More like a good 10-15% and that's being kind as their fans are 99% vvankers!

A lot of Fleet Street sports reporters were/are from East London and West Ham athough you probably know that. The well spoken chap on Sky Sports' breaksfast table on Sunday is from the Telegraph.

I'm hoping the Euro 2016 tournament will also play in our favour. I think more than a few of their players will be concerned about injury and more focused on that than 'little' Crystal Palace. Couple of Jedi and Delanny crunchers, and it might put them 'off 50-50s'

Of the big names left in the last 8, Man Utd was the one I'd pick to play in the final. Given Man City's sleepwalk to the end of the season, I strongly suspect that the Swan will turn them over on Sunday, giving the Ure everything to play for at home to the Cherries.

Meanwhile, our players will be resting and watching.

It's impossible to say that we'll never have a better opportunity to win the Cup (Millwall got to the final once FFS), but this one is sitting up nicely and begging to be larruped home.

We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football.
