Wouldn't be surprised if he is replaced by "De Boer".

Granted their season has ground to an embarrassing halt, but they're probably a few signings short of a very good team (i.e. defenders). I thought he did ok, but I'd imagine that at Everton the expectations are a little higher than ok. Beneitz would be a interesting manager for them, they'd love that across the divide.

Disagree Jamie - went backwards and can't set up a team to defend for toffee. His record was: Darling of the media because he is Spanish. The writing was on the wall as soon has he clashed with Baines. That was game over

Not sure I agree with this, what with them having Coleman, Baines, Jagielka and Stones with Funes Mori coming in as well. These are very competent defenders but they are being managed by someone who has a track record off poorly organised defences. Wigan got relegated with him in charge and they were known for being good going forward but terrible at the back, it's a pretty similar outcome with Everton. He don't half waffle on as well... I think it's more of a case that the defenders have been off form (not necessarily down to Martinez) but that's where the buck stops. Jagielka has been injured I recall mori getting banned Baines almost unrecognisable Coleman hit & miss. Stones under Martinez was playing excellent & there had to resist Chelsea's overtures with a substantial bid in the offing. I don't think that defensive setup has changed imo just collectively players off the boil.
