This guy is a phenomenal footballer. I have watched him play in a few games this season and he always stands out. He only recently turned 21 and already looks the real deal. I think if we get rid of Mutch then Hughes would be a great replacement. He wants to play in the Premier League and he works his socks off all game playing with his heart on his sleeve and would really suit our playing style.. I agree 100% with that but, as with any star player on a team the caliber of a team like Derby County, is the price right? I feel like they won't even begin to think about letting him go unless you offer 15 million or so.

Been injured for most of the season and only recently returned. A player who finds space and always wants the ball. When he gets the ball he rarely gives it away and takes free kicks over wall.Terrific technical ability and reading of the game.A real talent.

Personally think he is a bit lightweight and could easily prove to be a Joniesta Mark II. It's a no from me. Edited by moylerg (14 May 2016 6.53pm)

Burst on to the scene a few years ago at 17 and was the next big thing... Have to wonder why he's still at Derby bearing in mind how much talk there was about how good he was a few years back.
Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!! |

The lightweight bit is a fair observation. He wasn't the best yesterday but no Derby player showed up. Watching both semi-finals Hughes and Bannan stood out. So what I'm saying is Hughes could have a career that takes off hugely, or he could end up another bannan. I will be interested in how far he goes. I rate him and suggested his name a few weeks back though as I reckon he has it all. Just doubt he'd fit into our system. Edited by laddo (15 May 2016 7.32am)

A quality left-footed player who will surely feature in the PL sooner rather than later.Great technical ability and football brain.Finds space and rarely gives the ball away. Also has a good free kick in his "Locker".
