Especially that darned NHS keeping people alive longer and improving childbirth success rates - it's just not on.

The rest of the world are fully aware of what a great value service it is. So much so that we're now providing them with the benefits you mention.

I blame anyone and everyone that is driving the need for us to continually keep building houses plus the associated necessary infrastructure, which results in our country no longer resembling a green and pleasant land, but a concrete jungle that is oppressive to live in and has no time or room for wildlife.

Anyone that grew up in the 50's/60's can see that our country has changed for the worse with the introduction of millions of immigrants under various governments since then, but mostly under Blair's and Brown's regime from 1997 to 2010, when they even waived our right to defer Polish people coming here for 7 years like Germany did, so all the Poles came here.

There is now too much pressure on the demand for houses here and it will continue to be so, if not worse, if we remain in the EU... especially when Turkey gets full rights.

Outer London will be like Dhaka in Bangladesh... hundreds sharing one toilet, living in shoddy huts.

Luckily I will be long gone, but I fear for anyone living here then.

Totally disagree. Immigration into the UK until the EU was regulated and controlled, and served to boost the economy and widely benefitted people happy to reasonably integrate and was necessary in keeping a lot of British institutions functional, from the NHS to things like small corner stores.

These however were large migrations that supplemented a short full in employment, not replacing people in employment. UK growth and industry was built on the back of these migrations resulting in better lives, and incomes, from both migrants and the indigenous british. It was a time when the population of the UK who weren't migrants were upwardly mobile career wise and we needed more people in order to make the countries services function.

Very different to the current situation

Overall, UK culture has benefitted from migration until the arrival of the EU Freedom of Movement, where it served to feed into the corporate interest of keeping wages low, rather than promoting growth.

Hoof you're starting to get boring. Peter whateverhisnameis is one businessman you can find to support Brexit. Well in mate, cracking.

I've got the leader of the free world on my side. I'll settle for that over some bloke who doesn't tangibly stand to lose much by us leaving. (The lifestyle of someone whose worth is £1.2 bil or whatever it is is not different if he lost 50% of that wealth).

I'm sure he's well meaning as are you.

I am the proud grandson of not 1, not 2, not 3 but 4 European migrants - sorry if I am such a drain on resources.

Your catching a cold analogy is nonsense.

Blame the government for lack of provision in terms of opportunities all round the country.

The economic debate is well and truly done - remain is by far the best option. Obviously there are other issues though.

I suggest you do a bit more wider reading my "enlightened" friend.

As I said before... maybe study elephants and their reliance on the oldest herd members to guide them to water holes in times of extreme drought.

Or alternatively continue to bore us with your unfounded opinions about how the economy works from your narrow perspective as a young person with little experience of living and giving others lessons you could learn from yourself.

I wouldn't bother Hoof, he's 'superior' to us in every way.
It's just more smuggness and arrogance from people of a certain poitical view point.

Mostly improving childbirth success rates of Somalians.

My niece gave birth to a baby girl last Sunday - her Dad thought he had gone to the wrong country when he turned up at Bristol Maternity Hospital. His daughter was the only white girl on that ward, the rest were Somalians.

and this is just for the one's that are already coming here - when Turkey and all the rest join we'll need to double or triple this rate. (or rather, we will be ordered to by our masters at the EU).

The above post demonstrates your stupidity - just to try and make yourself look "edgy" and "cool" you type up 'whateverhisnameis' rather than Hargreaves even though you knew what his name was..... and I mentioned him to remind you of your ridiculous trait of ignoring the views of older people as not being valid.

He is well meaning and gave £3.1M to the leave campaign last week which will pay for their publicity. Shame Cameron chose to use £9M of the taxpayer's money to print and distribute his work of fiction rather than putting his hand in his pocket?

My parents and grandparents are a combination of english, scottish and irish heritage.... but I doubt that your european heritage has meant you are no more of a drain on resources than I am. But this debate is about the future not the past.

My analogies are clearly too simplistic and direct for your economic mindset... I probably should have included words like Median, Mode, Amortisation and Accrual to stimulate your brain receptors.

I did blame the government - Blair's decision to waive the 7 year amnesty on Polish immigrants if you remember.

The economic argument is far from done. As I pointed out to you, these eminent economists supporting the remain argument are the same ones that supported the Euro over the Pound and their warnings back then were as groundless as they are now and history has proved them to be wildly wrong.

Migrants spark housing crisis: Now EU tells Britain to build more homes as open borders send population soaring

That headline says it all for me about our relationship with the EU..... they TELL us.

Anyone wavering between voting remain and leave take note - we have absolutely no say whatsoever in the EU under it's current regime.

We saw the effect of Cameron's recent lobbying to the other 27 nations to get fundamental changes... like p1ssing in the wind. He came back with egg on his face.

Voting out/leave on June 23rd is the only way to guarantee that we can determine our own future without bureaucratic interference.... or put quite simply... Bullying us into submission!

Whilst this isnt quite as bad as Boris's comparison with the nazis (or admittedly Cameron's threat of impending war) it is right up there with the daily mails most misleading articles.
The truth is that George Osborne announced in the budget his target to build 400k new homes per year. Halleleulah!!! The biggest problem this country faces (bar one which i shall get to later) is shortage of housing, and ever since Thatcher sold off the housing stock in the 80's and didnt rebuild any, successive goverments (of both hues) have neglected to build sufficient housing....and no, this is not driven solely by immigration. With Britain having become more and more prosperous over the last 30 years demand has outstripped supply. The latest jobs figures showed that 9 out of 10 new jobs are going to BRITISH nationals, people have become much more prosperous, families are becoming smaller e.g due to single parent families or divorce etc.....but Osborne is NOT being ordered by Brussels to build houses, this remains the policy of UK government and nothing to do with the eu. This is a lie pure and simple.
And then they have the audacity to say its being run for elites!! Like lord rothermere who avoids paying uk tax whilst claiming half a mil back from the eu for the preservation of his deer estate in Scotland!! But if big businesses like the mail were forced to pay uk tax either by the closing tax haven jurisdictions or imposing a point of consumption tax on items sold in the uk this country would be a lot better off, but i dont think you will find lord rothermere telling us that in one of his papers, i think hed prefer to create a diversion by creating misinformation about the eu.

Obviously ignoring the fact that the headline is complete nonsense.
