As with anything on the internet, if you tell people they can't or shouldn't do something, most almost certainly will.

The same as when Jennifer Lawrence's lawyers said that anyone who looked at her naked pictures would be prosecuted. Righto...

If we aren't allowed it, then stop it. Don't ask people to police themselves, nor simply expect people to know that they shouldn't name some idiot like this should they find it out.

I'd like to know how Jennifer Lawrence's lawyers would have gotten on with prosecuting someone for looking at pictures on the internet, that they didn't post. What were they going to sue them for.

Thing is, with this kind of thing, you have to get out in front and own it. Like Ronaldo with the trannies and what not, don't apologise or beg forgiveness, just own it, take it on the chin (so to speak).

I think they stated invasion of privacy, emotional distress and copyright etc. before deciding to threaten google for $100m, before doing nothing but filing take down requests as they knew they couldn't go after anyone they were threatening.

Not heard about Ronaldo but Danny Cipriani had the same issue. His nickname amongst rugby players has since been "Danny who slept with a man", which I'm sure he loves.
