I don't think we will buy in any `big name` players. Cabaye was a big name last summer and I can't see what other big name p;layers are potentially available to us. Guess it does depend on who you consider a big name but I do think we will try to pick up some B list footballers who will fit the young profile Parrish likes to see as a safe investment. A lot of the rumors we are hearing support this and to be honest I find these prospects very exciting, especially if we can clear the squad out a bit.

GK
McCarthy and/or Speroni (breaks my heart but his time has come maybe a coaching role) out for Khrul
CD
Marriappa, Paddy and Hangeland out and replaced by Caulker or Tomkins

LB
Fryers out and replaced by Santon

CM
no-one out but Bentalib in

AM
Lee Chung-Yong, Mutch and Jonny Williams out and replaced by Sigurdson, Shelvey or Mason

LW/RW
Mutch and Lee Chung-Yong out and replaced by either Redmond or Townsend

ST
Campbell, Chamakh, Adebayor and Appiah out for Babacar (Just don't think we will buy a big name striker for 20 mill+ but will trust in Wickham and bring in cover for him when he is inevitably injured).

I'm not suggesting we get everyone of those players but a few of those signings would be a much stronger squad.

Really interesting suggestions. Thanks

Parish is developing a club that is really taking us to new levels. We would all have taken top 15 at the start of the season and without injuries that lost our momentum it would ave been top ten. Nice noises already in transfers. I'm relaxed for next season. With any luck re injuries top 10

It concerns what new players we will add at all. I see that both Everton amd Arsenal are interested in one of those Wolves youngsters now.

And this is the problem, I still feel that youngsters heads get turned by big name clubs despite what would be serious lack of game time.

I look at Michael Hector from last year, signed very quickly once Chelsea had thrown hat into the ring. Never played a single game in PL for them and sent back to Reading.

He could have been playing in an FA Cup Final last season. But no, its all about the status of being big club player despite not even playing for them.

It was part of the deal for Michael Hector that he be loaned back for the remainder of the season much as Zaha was loaned back to us when he was signed by Manchester United

If we nab one of those lads they'll be finding their way into our squad. Developing quality with the players and real prem pitch time is worth double the price big names cost us.

Pardew's inability to react was partly down to the clubs transfer policy. Survived till the summer and it's paid off now we're out of champ FFP and didn't sack our manager when things got squiffy.

We need to sign 5 or 6 quality players , otherwise we be left behind and fighting relegation again. My preference would be begovic,Jeff bruma, marcos alonso, siggursson, townsend and slimani

Andy Johnson Magic, He wears a Magic Hat
When he Sees the match ball, he says he having that
He scores one with left foot, he scores one with his right
And When his playing Brighton, He scores all f***ING Night!
