Where to Eat?

Try: Supa Snax (Eldon St) for a clean and friendly cafe; Princes fish & chip restaurant (Burlington Arcade); Empire Fish & Chips (Wellington St); Pantheon 2 (Queen St) sells fresh cream cakes and there's a McDonald's on Eldon St.

Outside, there are burger vans and inside the ground is the usual fayre including some tasty pies.

Where to Drink?

Three pubs on route to the ground from the M1: The Prince of Wales (Eldon Street North); The Honeywell Inn (Honeywell Street) and The Travellers Rest (Intake Lane).

Barnsley's pubs can be a bit indimidating, so cover your colours if you are drinking in the town centre. You have: the Old Courtyard (Regent St); Maceys, the Beer Engine and the Emporium (all on Eldon St); the Yorkshireman (Kendrig St) and on Wellinton Street is Chennells, the Corner Pin and Tommy Wallocks.

What's their ground like?

Oakwell has a two-tiered East Stand and single-tiered South Stand. A third new stand (North) has been added behind the goal and this leaves just one old half-covered stand along the pitch.

Palace fans will share the North Stand with the home support and have an allocation of up to 3,000. Here, facilities, view and leg room are very good.

What do they sing?

Yorkshire, Yorkshire, Yorkshire! and Stand Up If You Hate Wednesday!

Songs to sing back

Does the Social know you’re here?

Who do they hate?

Huddersfield, Sheffield United and Sheffield Wednesday.
