Where to Eat?

The town centre has a variety of take-aways and restaurants.

An Asian pub called the Desi Junction serves excellent Indian food. The Moat House pub (see below) offers the usual pub food. Burger vans are a plenty outside the ground. Try the Grill House in Birmingham Road.

Food inside the ground is the usual pies and sweets, but the chicken balti pies come specially recommended.

Where to Drink?

The Moat House, signposted from the M5 motorway roundabout, and only a few hundred yards from the ground, is recommended.

There are lots of pubs in the town centre, which is not too far away (roughly 20mins walk) and the town is signposted off the M5 junction 1 motorway roundabout.

Take the first left and you will arrive into Roebuck Street, where you will find The Vine on the left hand side (10mins walk from ground).

Alcohol is available inside the ground.

What's their ground like?

The Hawthorns has become a decent in recent years. Two big single-tiered stands were built behind each goal during the 1990s - the Smethwick End and the The Apollo 2000 Stand.

Joining these two alongside the pitch is a smaller single-tier Brew XI (Halfords Lane) Stand, built in 1980. The recently-built East Stand opposite is pretty smart and increased the capacity.

Eagles fans will be seated behind the goal of the Smethwick End on the right hand corner, with the Baggies' fans to the left. Here the facilities (taste the Balti Chicken pie!), leg room and view are excellent. The allocation is likely to be around 3,000.

What do they sing?

Boing Boing, Baggies Baggies, Boing Boing!! – originated from an early 90s Dutch techno tune called 'Boing'.

Songs to sing back

West Brom are going nowhere!! and We speak English over here!

Who do they hate?

Mainly Wolves but also Aston Villa and Birmingham City.
