Crystal Palace defender David Woozley is expected to be out of action for the rest of the season. The youngster has been told today that he needs surgery on a broken leg which he suffered in a reserve game two weeks ago.
In that reserve game against Leyton Orient Woozley broke his tibula and fibula but after seeing a specialist earlier in the week he was told that his leg wasn't healing as well as might be liked.
Woozley will now need a pin inserted into the bottom of the bone to help it heal which will enable him to carry on his career.
The 20-year-old broke his leg right after a transfer to Bournemouth, where he had a succesful loan spell, fell through. The Cherries couldn't afford the £75,000 asking price Palace placed on his head.
The Eagles hope that the defender will be fit again for the start of next season if everything goes well.
