Team news

Palace left-back Clint Hill back returns from suspension, while centre-back Paddy McCarthy faces a fitness test after dislocating his shoulder. Midfielder Ben Watson is set to miss out due to a hamstring injury.

Leicester striker Matty Fryatt unlikely to play due to an ankle injury but Paul Dickov - who had a spell on loan at Palace - will step in.

Defender Aleksandar Tunchev is doubtful because of a groin strain, but former Eagles Marc Edworthy and Chris Powell should both start.

Quotes

Roy Hodgson

"You couldn't get a much tougher draw than that, they are flying. But we will be going there to win it and I will be playing my strongest team available."

Nigel Pearson

"We are playing a side from a division that we aspire to be in so even though it is just a one-off game, it will give us a chance to see where we are at.

"As I said, they are a division above us so it will be a tough game. (Crystal Palace manager) Neil Warnock's sides are always difficult to beat as well.

"After an indifferent start to the season they have now started to find a bit of form but we are looking forward to it and it is another game that we will be trying to win."
