Nathaniel Clyne was named Crystal Palace Player of the Year - but failed to show up to collect his award.

The right-back was odds-on favourite to claim the gong after an excellent campaign so it was a big let down he decided to remain on holiday in Spain with team mate Kieran Djilali, while Kieron Cadogan came back for the ceremony.

Former Palace striker Mark Bright was at the awards and gave his reaction on his twitter page, tweeting: "Very Disappointed in Nathaniel Clyne, An insult to the players, management, owners & fans, no show for the POTY awards."

Wilfried Zaha returned from his break in Egypt to take the Young Player of the Year award after a fine breakthrough season.

Zaha also clinched the Scholar Player Of The Year and Vice Presidents' Young Player Of The Year honours. Neil Danns picked up the Vice Presidents Player Of The Year award.

England star Ryan Innis won the Academy (Age 9-16) Player Of The Year award and Darren Ambrose's goal against Sheffield United was voted Goal of the Season.
