McGivern leaves for Bristol

August 31 2011

Manchester City defender Ryan McGivern has joined Bristol City on loan after his stint at Crystal Palace ended.

Palace boss Dougie Freedman had hoped to borrow the youngster for longer after he impressed in the Eagles' superb start to the season.

Regular left-back Dean Moxey is available again after serving his four-game suspension, so Northern Ireland U21 international McGivern has opted to go elsewhere.

Freedman has extended the loan of Aleksandar Tunchev from Leicester until November and Peter Ramage agreed to extend his stay from QPR until January.

Centre half Andrew Davies has already gone back to Stoke City after making two appearances.

Palace are still awaiting international clearance for Antonio Pedroza's move from Mexican club Jaguares after a deal was agreed for the young striker.

Meanwhile, Ibra Sekajja has signed for Kettering Town of the Blue Square Bet Premier on loan for a month.
