Quotes

Roy Hodgson

"I am very superstitious. It's stupid and I know it is, but I do everything if I think something is working. I can't say specifically what, because that would break that superstition. But it includes what clothes I wear, whatever. If I get something in mind I run with it, stay with it. Does it help? I'm in the habit now and can't change.

"We face a massive task and the odds are stacked in Everton's favour, but we will approach this match fully focused, and if you prepare properly there is no knowing what you can achieve.

"Roberto has done a fantastic job there. They lost Fellaini and Jelavic went as well, and he’s replaced them with really good signings. He’s brought in four or five players and really strengthened what was a really good squad under David Moyes anyway.

"They have improved without a doubt so we know it will be tough, tough game. We have to just focus on going up and there trying to get something out of the game. Our focus is about Crystal Palace and what we’re going to try to do.

"I am thinking of just Crystal Palace. I am thinking Crystal Palace at Everton and how we get up there to play a very, very good side and get something out of the game. When that game is over, all I will be thinking about will be West Ham.”

Cameron Jerome

“We have got nothing to fear. Everyone will be expecting Everton to blow us away with the performances they’ve been putting in of late.

“They are going for a Champions League place but we’re playing some good stuff at the minute. We can’t go there with a negative attitude and the mindset that we’re going to get beat.

“We’re going to go there, roll our sleeves up and we know it will be a tough game. But we’re going to work hard and hopefully we can get something out of it.”

Roberto Martinez

"I'm excited about it. The welcome the players are going to have in front of our fans is going to be special.

"We've got the highest Premier League points tally in the club's history and I think the players deserve that sort of welcome. It's going to be a really difficult game and we need to be well rested and well prepared.

"And we need that support, because Crystal Palace are one of the toughest sides in the division in terms of their defensive focus and how good they are in their defensive intensity."
