Chelsea v Palace

Stamford Bridge, Sunday 1.30pm

Alan Pardew

Alan Pardew

Team news

Alan Pardew is waiting on Fraizer Campbell (hamstring) and Jerome Thomas (ankle), who have also returned to training but may have to wait to make their comebacks having not played since February and January respectively.

The Eagles chief says it is unlikely Marouane Chamakh will feature as he needs to prove his fitness following a hamstring problem.

For Chelsea Thibaut Courtois should regain his position in goal after Mourinho rested the Belgian because he was "not 100 per cent fit" in midweek.

Loic Remy (calf) could be involved after missing a couple of games recently, but Diego Costa (hamstring) might not play against this season.

Quotes

Roy Hodgson

"I don't think we can upset the title race because I think Chelsea will be champions, but we don't want to see them win it against us.

"This is a great game for us because no one expects us to get anything out of it. But if they beat us, they are going to have to work very hard to do it."

Jose Mourinho

"We need three points to be champions, to make sure we don't depend on goal difference, It's easy.

"Obviously we want to finish it as soon as possible - if we can do it at home, better, and if we can do it on Sunday, even better. That's what we have in our mind.

"It's similar to Arsenal, similar to Leicester - we go to win but in this moment any point we get is a positive point. We are calm."
