Quotes

Roy Hodgson

"It is part and parcel of the game. It didn’t work out for me or Charlton unfortunately, as much as I tried. Therefore if they have bad feeling about that, there is nothing I can do. All I can do is try and create the best team I can here in the job that I'm at.

"I just think that it is a game which is important for both sets of fans. It is a derby, it is two clubs that have had some history - and obviously I’m part of that history as well - so there will be a lot of feeling about the game. It is a game I’m looking forward to."

Mile Jedinak

"I think to play in a derby game against Charlton for Palace will be new for a lot of the boys so they’ll get to learn what they’re all about quite quickly.

"I haven’t played against them too many times myself but I remember they were always tasty affairs, and that they mean a lot to the fans and they get right behind their side on big occasions like that and I’m sure will happen again tonight.

"It’s cup football so there will be a winner at the end of the day and hopefully after all the preparation we’ve been putting in it’ll be us."
