Crystal Palace secure a fine 5-1 victory against Newcastle United at Selhurst Park.

Alan Pardew stuck with the same team which lost 1-0 to Sunderland on Monday night.

The game didn't start well for the Eagles, and they were 1-0 down within 10 minutes - Papiss Cisse glancing a header home past Wayne Hennessey.

However Palace hit back with three first half goals. James McArthur's deflected shot made it 1-1, and then Yannick Bolasie put the Eagles ahead with a shot which found the bottom corner. Wilfried Zaha then made it 3-1 shortly before half time with a volley which hit the floor and bounced up past Newcastle goalkeeper Rob Elliot.

Palace were in no mood to keep the score the same in the second half, as they quickly extended their lead further through Bolasie again from close range.

The rout was completed in injury time when Bolasie charged down the wing, and his cross wasn't cleared by the Toon defense, and McArthur slotted past Elliot from a tight angle for his second of the game.

Palace: Hennessey, Dann, Ward, N'Diaye Souare, Delaney, Bolasie, Zaha (Jedinak, 67), Y Cabaye (Lee, 75), McArthur, Puncheon, Wickham (Bamford, 86)

Subs not used: Speroni, Kelly, Ledley, Chamakh
