Not sure what you saw in Clyne at the weekend to get into the side if our regular back 4 are available. If Andersen is back, then:-

Guaita
Ward Andersen Guehi Mitchell
Gallagher Hughes
Olise/Eze
Edouard Benteke Zaha

That's the team I would like to see for entertainment value, but I think it would definitely be a case of looking to score more than them rather than concede less, and with 3 losses on the bounce I can't imagine PV going gung-ho.

i just think that this team would release Gallagher and Eze from defensive duties, am i am sick of Kouyate and Luka, you could always put Olise in the Clyne WB role

I really really hope Hughes comes in for Schlupp. Ward to replace Clyne, Andersen to replace Tomkins if fit, Edouard to replace Ayew out wide.

Guatia
Ward Andersen Guehi Mitchell
Kouyate
Hughes Gallagher
Zaha Benteke Edouard

Eze clearly not ready to start yet, but him for Hughes if needed and Olise/Ayew for Edouare depending on how the game goes. Olise is definitely an impact player for now and not a starter.

I know Ayew gets a lot of stick (rightly so) for posing zero attacking threat, but he does a job when defending a lead from the front.

That's the more sensible version of my team, and probably the best we can hope for.

Can’t play those two up top, personally. No presence or ability to win headers/hold play up. Leeds showed us that. Totally ineffective til Tekkers entered the fold and gave us a presence up there (albeit he did miss a sitter).

I think that would be a madness

I'm curious to know why ;

1. You would play a back 3 when we haven't done yet this season
2. You would play Clyne at wing back
3. You would select Jairo alongside Hughes when neither have played a full 90 mins in the first team together, and in Hughes's case, at all
4. You start Eze when he clearly needs further cameo appearances before he's ready to start a game.

Also my preferred 11 The main thing for me though is to get back to the high pressing and short passing / no gaps between the lines and therefore getting numbers into the opponents box. Easy really ;-)

Because i think the key to us scoring goals is trying to get Gallagher, Eze and Edouard playing together, We have played 3 at the back many times this season with Mitchell moving forward and Ward staying as the 3.
kouyate and Luka have been in my opinion very poor, if McArthur was fit then him for Jairo, also there are no Afcon players in that team, it is similar to the way Chelsea play and it might get the best out of what we have, Eze needs game time, 60mins then Ayew or Olise, he could also play WB if you want to be more adventurous.
