Yep. I'm in the 'Got rid of FDB too early' camp. Yes, he revolted rather than evolved, but still, there were small signs that things were starting to turn round.

but that's the Price of changing the style - its riskier, but you have to push through the bad times. Maybe FDB was not the right man for the job, maybe he was that sh*t. we'll never really know.. SP made the choice to employ him, but didn't have the belief to stick with his choice and to give him time to prove his methods. Not apportioning blame to SP for that, but you have to expect this type of thing when attempting what FDB was attempting. He tried to change things too quickly, so the immediate effect was to lose a lot! Whose to say over the course of the season he couldn't fix it?

I think FDB is an extreme example. There are plenty of other managers we can turn to to change the style of play, without being quite as drastic.

"It was a Team effort, I guess it took all players working together to lose this one"

Up step Pardew.

Yes to Ranieri...absolutely not to Hughes. Terrible manager and never warmed to him either.

Once noted as one of the best young managers who has now seemingly gone cold and needed time to reset. Defensively Bournemouth were awful, but I think he could get us our attacking juices flowing.

It is quite obvious to me that this chap will be offered the job again and he only had real issues with his strikers not performing at the wrong time, defending wasn't a problem he suffered when achieving his plaudits, he would've learned a lot about what to do and what to not do with that disaster at the death with goals flying in left and right, out of all the managers mentioned he stands out a mile easily.

At the moment we would actually look like somewhat of a tempting option for an unemployed manager as we already have seven points on the table, we have players who have talent and who could come in (like Meyer, Eze and Riedewald) and potentially allow a shift to a slightly more possession based game, plus the potential to drag Zaha out of his shell.

If results start to follow performances that could evaporate and we could be left having to make a stopgap appointment again. It would be brave for Parish & Co to say goodbye to Roy given our points so far, but I think it would be the right time while the squad is still relatively settled and morale is ok.

I increasingly feel that it is only Roy's age and the fact that this will likely be his last job that has me still hoping he can turn it around rather than frothing at the mouth for his dismissal. The next six games could well decide whether he stays in his job or not, as they are all games in which we stand a chance of getting points if we perform.

When Palace fans say, “we have no chance of getting a manager like Santo or Bielsa”, you have to look at the fact that both of them were taken on by Championship Clubs before they made it to the PL, so why not? At some point, the respective Boards at both Wolves and Leeds have had the foresight to look for a manager that was going to take them forwards. Our fans appear to think this is impossible and even if it was possible then they would not come to Palace.

Well that is rubbish in my opinion. I cannot name managers with their obvious talents because I don’t follow world football however you would imagine those at the top of the game will know who they are and where they are plying their trade. Whether they have the balls to bring them in is a different matter.

So to all those saying we can’t have a new manager because we can’t think of a decent replacement you already know it is not down to us to find a replacement, it is down to the club and if they want to progress then they need to put a bit more effort into searching for someone. Just dragging a recently failed manager or a younger clone of Roy in is not the answer to our future.
