I can't remember but the price being bandied around was certainly more than what we he will now be worth. After the injury and lack of appearances - free seems about right, or perhaps an Ayew type fee.

What on Earth is he supposed to say regarding his current employer as an alternative? I actually think Tosun is the type of forward we need. Solid, high work rate, direct, capable finisher. It was really sh-t luck that he broke down last year before he even had a chance to show his stuff for us. I had high hopes for him last year on loan. The downside to him is his injury. I'm less worried that he doesn't really want to be here, because he's a professional, and he will perform for money. I don't want to pay a fortune for him, but I really think he brings something up front that none of our other forwards can do.

Surely there isn’t any truth in this. We loaned Batshuayi for a bit of added quality up top and he’s not getting a look in...unless there’s a plan to terminate that loan and replace him with Tosun. All seems a bit needless and surprising. I’d have thought there would be other areas of the squad to focus on.

He led the line on his own very well in our win at Man City.. What concerns me is that we have had 5/6 defenders or defensive midfielders on our bench repeatedly thos season due to our lack of attacking options. I would take him back until the end of the season to give us another option.
