Don't know why we need to bring someone in. We have the ultimate expert in VAR in the Premier League already. All VAR decisions should be taken by Mourinho ultimately, as he always gets it right.

We got 2 penalties yesterday for less than some of the shirt pulling wrestling type fouls on our players that have been missed in previous games . Not complaining though.. Does show the inconsistency which is the main problem. They won't win over the screen business - people will complain it takes too long to make a decision and as we saw with Arteta managers will still put pressure on the ref looking at the screen. Everyone felt the Man U penalty wasn't one apart from their manager who thought it was clear cut! It's the subjective views of the officials that creates problems- not the VAR itself . After having just having seen Mike Dean give Burnley a penalty v Wolves when very very very clearly it is dangerous play by Wood I am convinced: the friends will be friends culture among referees in the PL makes the system, which is in principle great if you judge critically , practically horribly wrong and I hope it will be scrapped. I would almost go as ar as question the integrity of the referees. The penalties of the last fortnight (Grealish kicking himself and getting a penalty standing out), our goal last Sunday, goals clearly over the line and no correction we can go on and on.... It beggars belief.

I too thought it was a potential high foot but most pundits seem to agree it was handball and a penalty so guess that goes down as a subjective decision. I suppose they will say Wood was going for a genuine over head kick and the defender tried to stop him getting the ball with his arm.

VAR is not being used as intended. The VAR man should ask the referee to check for himself on the pitch side monitor if he thinks an error has been made. How often has this happened - a half dozen times at most. Hopefully as the PL now has to conform with the rest of the world next season we will get sensible outcomes. At present many decisions have been laughably wrong.

We really must dump VAR at the earliest opportunity. Can VAR actually get a decision right? Recently new levels of incompetence have emerged suggesting it is just totally wrong. It's nothing like the respected cricket DRS where very rarely, if ever, a mistake is made. You may as well flip a coin and not play the game at all.

Gives Sky something to talk about though. That's basically what seems to matter. It is becoming increasingly evident that the fans don't matter a jot.

True instead of spending hours on decisions made by the on pitch ref they just talk about the VAR officials . Least you can understand why mistake are made by the former but excuse does the bloke watching a screen have ?!

VAR is ruining the game and the enjoyment of the game and is still getting loads of decisions wrong! I would scrap it in a heart beat and just use the GLT that we had previously. I’d take the occasional mistake from the referee / linesman that we had before over this absolute sh*t show that we’ve got with VAR.

The only time at Selhurst I can recall this happening was in the match (I cant remember which one) when the ref. sent Ward off for a dangerous tackle. On reviewing it he rescinded red and just gave Joel yellow.

If anyone watched the Stoke/Brentford game today, there was the most blatant foul in the area which was not given. Right in front of the linesman, how he missed it beggars belief and could well have cost Brentford promotion.

I’m obviously missing something. Why wasn’t VAR even consulted when the Wolves player clearly contacted the ball with his arm yesterday? Why didn’t the commentators highlight it a bit more instead of simply brushing it off? Confused...
