Sarr is the ideal signing for us. An incredibly quick right winger who is young and with bags of potential. With our style of play we could be scary on the counter with Eze, Wilf and Sarr. Eventually I could see him converting to a striker in the way Henry did.

It does seem highly unlikely at the figures quoted, but then we did find almost £30m for Bentenke and his wages would probably not be as high. Maybe if Watford agreed to a loan now pay next year deal then it could be done?

I'm certainly not going to get my hopes up though.

Man U tried that iead and we said no.

Want about 40-50 million I think for him.

We paid 30 million for him ourselves.

And if the player knows Liverpool and Man U have shown interested he'll probably stick around and wait for them to come in again.

This is probably a rehash of the previous Sarr rumour, but it does make the point that we would have an amazing group of attacking players

If somehow we found the money and no one else bids then we would represent a quick return to the PL, we notoriously pay high wages and Liverpool/Manu Utd could still come in for him in 12 months. Plus our respective clubs were basically the same in terms of allure (until you got relegated). I'm sure most Watford fans would rather he stayed though. Whether you can afford to turn down £30m may be the real question in the end (even if I doubt we'll ever ask it)

True but think we are after more than 30 million having got rid of other high earners off the wage bill so the need to sell isn't so great .

If we signed him then we would get champions league. Maybe Wilf could lend them some?

Under normal circumstances I would suggest that we wouldnt go for Sarr because we dont have that much money available at the end of this transfer window ( without Wilf going) but given the latest news just being released in the press about restructure proposals & the press reporting that the desire is for new structure to be implemented as soon as possible - maybe SP has discussed this / these proposals with the Americans & between them they have concluded that making the money available to buy Sarr now is a wise investment to try to ensure that when the relegation trapdoor opens we are not going to be the ones dropping through it.

I cant see that 30m will be enough, especially after what Superhorns has said.

It would need to be 30m with addons bring it upto nearer 40m.

Also, I can see clauses being put in whereby if a champions league club come in, he is free to speak to them.

A reduced size Prem league (18 clubs with the reduction being achieved by a one-off four down and two up plus a play-off between the team finishing 16th in the PL and those finishing 3rd, 4th and 5th in the Championship.

Additionally it seems that the big 6 plus several other clubs will be favoured in some way (protected from relegation in the year of transition, perhaps?) leaving the rest of us to fight against being in one of the four certain relegation places plus 16th position (to avoid the play-offs).

Well that confirms it, Sarr in Zaha to Millwall.

At a price tag of £30/£40 m it isn't going to happen.
Time for a reality check.
More chance of us winning the Premier league than signing Sarr!!

Can’t see us spending in excess of £30 million on Sarr.
I could perhaps see us trying for a loan with an option to purchase as forward planning in the event Zaha was to leave in a future window.
I doubt this would suit Watford, however. even if it makes sense for us.
Who would people prefer (chance would be a fine thing) between Sarr and Behnrama?
Sarr has demonstrated that he can play at the level and would give us some much needed pace and thrust down the right to balance the left side where we have lots of options.
Behnrama is a clever player with goals and assists in him, but unproven at the level.
I’d probably go for Sarr but would be delighted with either.
