Food poisoning?

But all jokes aside, these food parcels were laughable so I'm glad it's being highlighted. The greed of the suppliers took a little too much food off the table to go unnoticed.

People are working out that the government are being charged £30 for something that should cost £5.22.

Probably made up for £5.22 food, £4.78 in delivery, £5 in costs, £5 profit, and £10 to the useless civil servant who agreed the deal.

You can feed two people dinner for a week from Hello Fresh for around £30, or get 3 items from Boots for £3.29.

Maybe those complaining will start to work that the civil service shouldn't be put in charge of any form of procurement, and that privatisation is the only way forward.

Rashford's now England's most commercially valuable player.

Yup it's a con on the taxpayer again. Apparently Boris is saying they will get food vouchers instead.

Yep, the suppliers that are a company that are Tory donors and until recent were headed up by a company that is best mates with David Cameron.

That would definitely be better, and do more for a person's pride and purchase power than a couple of spuds and a slice of ham left on their doorstep.

As long as they can't buy booze and fags I'm fine with that.

Good point. Yes, nothing like that should be allowed.

If they're 30 quid then sell for a score and vodka and benson's all round. Food parcels were the best option but allow them to pick to a certain value.
Oh no silly me; they dont have internet to go online to home school so how would they possibly do that!
Goner start a thread on that right now.

Use the voucher to do the normal food shop.

Extra funds from the rest of the benefits to fund extra booze and fags.

Every time the civil service wastes a fortune the response from Corbynista's is that the company profiting is owned by a Tory.... they have no idea how civil service procurement works. It's practically impossible to give away contracts like that. If lazy unionised workers local authorities make bad deals, its not the fault of the supplier!

What did these people do before covid. They have more benefits than before and still want more. What about after covid. I'm beginning to lose my s*** with these selfish takers. Just want their whole life to be easy. Stop knocking out chavs and look after what you have. When covid has finished there will be more handwringing about how tough it is.
Boris grow a pair and deal with it.
I know there are genuine people who need help and they fall by the wayside because they dont shout as loud sadly.

I was more basing my thoughts on the idea that if they are supposed to be getting £30 worth of food (instead of vouchers), and receive a couple of spuds and a baby belle instead, then those contracted to carry out this important role are clearly not up to the task.

As for who and who isn't deserving of this assistance, no doubt it's a mixed bag. But at the same time in such difficult circumstances with gainful employment far from a given and kids caught in the middle of it all I'm okay with the basics being given out where it's deemed they're needed.

In a more general sense, outside of this madness, I don't disagree with you about those playing the system though! And as you say, the most genuine cases often just muddle along..

It's something for nothing. The society we've created. If they didnt like what they got then give it back. Mass rollout of anything has teething problems as the last year has proved. These people couldnt wait to post pictures and bite the hand that's feeding them. Kin t***s
