Fame at last as Palace get 3 in the Top 10.
Would have taken a while to guess who though.

Benteke must be an absolute butcher to be at no. 13 considering the number of games he plays these days.

Nowdays a foul is given for a hard stare at the opposition.
Did anyone see Grelish chucking himself about last night?
The guy who got booked for fouling him was shaking his head in dis belief. A slight touch on the leg, and Grelish goes down clutching the OTHER leg, and rolling around.
I am really starting to dislike this game.

Both Grealish and Richarlison spend more time on the floor than a busy carpet fitter.

It was mentioned in complimentary terms during the commentary last night that Grealish is a player who “knows how to win fouls”.
Well, yes, that’s one way of putting it.

Yep, I heard that too.
Winning fouls is one thing, putting your body between opposition and ball, and taking a hit.
But all this slightest touch and they go down clutching their face, One of the Leeds players did this on Sunday, is them trying to get the opposition booked or sent off.
This behaviour needs to be called out by the pundits, not the usual Shearer line, "he was clever".
When I played, if you had done any of this rubbish you would have been laughed at by the opposition, the spectators , your own teammates and probably the ref.

Very true.

Worst part about all this playacting, is, that part of law 12 still stipulates that simulation is still a cautionable offence.

Yes Grealish is a cheat at "winning" fouls, got caught out last year at Selhurst when his diving caused their equaliser to be chalked off.

If that had been Zaha diving about the pundits would be ripping into him.

This is from Premierleague.com

Will VAR be used for diving?

Only for incidents in the four match-changing situations: goals; penalty decisions; direct red-card incidents; and mistaken identity.

In the instance where the on-field referee has awarded a penalty but the VAR has determined that it was an act of simulation, the penalty award will be overturned and the offending player will be shown a yellow card.

The FA's retrospective disciplinary process remains for other incidents not captured by the match officials or VAR.

I got involved in a heated contretemps with an A.Villa supporter who lives locally. He asserted it was a "Shocking decision" and suffice to say I was in total disagreement.I certainly placed him into the pillory in robust fashion.
