Every transfer window he lists a number of players who are to sign imminently who don’t actually sign. The fact that you lot defend this nonsense every single time is astonishing. In the past I made £50 after slapping £2 on Pulis to be our manager. For some reason he dropped out to 25-1 after rumours he wasn't interested surfaced, but it just seemed like the right fit. It shows you can't read too much into the bookies odds when it comes to managerial appointments. If there really had been a decision made on Frank I reckon the bookies would have got wind and closed the book. Personally, if I was still a betting man, I'd put a tenner on Howe at 15-2. Parish supposedly approached him in the past, he's young, educated, and ambitious, plus he has plenty of PL experience with a club of a similar level to us and is available.

Not itk but I feel Howe will be announced as Celtic boss. A lot of his proposed back room staff are still involved with Bournemouth promotion bid. Once that is done this will happen imo

The one I hope it isn't is Howe. At Bournemouth he walked on water and his prior association with the club gave him a freedom he would not have at Palace. He is just not a good fit to work with SP. Yes he took Bournemouth to promotion but ultimately despite the money spent they were relegated. At Burnley he was unable to get promotion to EPL and left when they were mid table. There is also the question can he operate without Jason Tindall are they like Clough and Taylor much less effective when not in tandem. I really fear for our EPL future if he is appointed

Once that is done this will happen imo In one of his recent stints as a pundit he said something along the lines of "I need to keep up-to-date with the changes in the Premier League so I'm ready when I get a job there again". This is paraphrasing, but he definitely didn't sound like a man about to head to Scotland. Who knows though. He's also been linked with Spuds, but that seems well above his current station. My preferred option is still Dyche and as unpopular as it may be my second choice would be Wilder.
