Trouble is anyone who has had a half decent Euros their price will have gone through the roof. I’d rather look elsewhere unless by some miracle it’s at a reasonable price

Mateta has been pictured in the training pics the club have put up on the website so it seems he’s still a palace player.

It was my understanding he signed a long term loan deal but that we had agreed to sign him. So I’ve always thought of him as a permanent signing.

I was just pointing out to the other poster id seen him pictured at training.

Mateta has done well at Lyon ana Mainze and certainly deserves his chance, Dolberg has done well at Ajax and Nice and is very versatile, a good signing if he comes, Both are a lot better than Benteke in my opinion

Agree. He has work to do to improve those aspects of his game before he can be seen as a serious challenger to Benteke's position. I think he will improve and will provide PV with a different striker option.
