There are rumours on Twitter that Blackburn`s target man Adam Armstrong, is close to signing with Palace. Blackburn demand £25 mill. Soton have been after him but are apparently not willing to meet the price tag. Will they after seling Ings? Or will Palace snatch him?

Southampton have been brave or stupid in selling Ings I think he and Prowse are why they stayed up so they definitely need a new striker. If we are after him it shows a bit of ambition from the club. We cannot afrord a PL 20 goal a season striker but we don't need to. Burnley's strikers all chip in and Dyche rotates when they are out of form. If we could get 15 goals from Tekkers and the same from a new striker plus 5-10 from Wilf we'd be fine. Edited by Badger11 (05 Aug 2021 8.21am)

20m plus Blackburn are asking the mind boggles, Massive risk in my eyes untried and untested at Premiership level. Better options with Premiership experience are available sorry to say.

Can't see us spending 20m on a striker when we already have Benteke. Why would we pin our hopes on Benteke... Apart from when he's playing for a new contract his scoring record is awful. I'd like Armstrong.. The lad can clearly score goals and he would be something different rather that the 'big lad' up front which we have become so used to at Palace.
Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!! |
