Often not picky enough.

If we didn't have the welfare state I suspect the better half might be a bit more picky about potential mates and whether they will hang around when the baby comes.

I'm not going to be critical of women because this is purely nature working as it's designed to.....however it shows a truth of how nature works that many advocates of the 'equality' myth would like to ignore.

However mocking the problem that average or below average men face when the social media age has worsened their access pool is just....well it's its own kind of denialism.

While I do lay some blame here onto social liberalism/feminism for higher family breakdowns and the modern interpretation of masculinity I think more damage has been done via the social media age.... which increases the 80/20 pool over the previous more localised reality.

You'll never find a multi millionaire struggling for a date! I agree to an extent that the filter of social media and even dating platforms are so heavily geared towards women users and 'filters' that it can be hard for joe average to get a look in unless you have an angle or aspect of yourself that separates you should the crowd. It's a dog eat dog world, and really whoever you are in life you unfortunate have to look to sell yourself like an unloved used car that just needs a bit of buffing up! I know that's what I did .

That's correct of course and has always been so.

However, I'm critical of anything that worsens the natural order of things and that's the case here.

So it's fair that it's recognised.

These young chaps need positive social contacts, turn off the social media and work on socialising and improving social skills for a year or two. Even if it's not your normal nature then think social, social, social for a year and get out there in situations, smile and talk. Mostly do it for the sake of it. Accept rejections or failures as part of the the natural background of life As successes will occur as well. Life is partly about pointing yourself towards a goal. Most of the time only good can come from making a effort.

Certainly. Everybody needs positive social contacts. People do not become adequately socialised in a truly real world sense in social media bubbles and the like. So opting out can be a plus. Real world input broadens a persons worldview; that is often what's so helpful about travel, the workplace and so on. People are forced out of their comfort zone, have to interact and appreciate people they may not typically come into contact with, and think on their feet at a moments notice. All useful in blind date or any kind of dating situation.

The older people get the less I think image affects them. Some of the rejections in younger people are not necessarily how attractive one is to the other, its about worrying what others think. Two people could fancy the pants off each other whichever sex or 'gender' but be more concerned about others comments than their own happiness. The Internet has heightened the anxiety around this even though you will never meet 99 % of people making the comments.

This thread is basically just an advertisement of those who don’t get enough sex. Fair play for being open and honest lads, very 2021.

That one was more recent than your last one judging by that reply.
