I just really feel, for his own sake, he should not be playing football.

Listening to Micah Richards on Monday night, talking about his insurance policies towards the end of his career, who would give cover to someone who has technically died once already?

Looks like he is aiming to be get back into the Denmark World Cup team at the end of the year.

Doubt any fee would be involved as technically a free agents

I actually think he would be a very good signing for Newcastle. They have the cash in wages etc but have the problem of who can they attract in the situation they are in and anyone coming in now will worry for their long term because they will know once safe the Geordies can and will spend big on replacements. If he wants to prove himself then it would seem to be a good fit.

I think who ever gets him will enjoy him for 6 months he will want to show of his best to get a big move but look at what he did at Spurs he wanted out the season after Champions League final and then refused to perform this shows a players real character.

Hard to say for me. If he's doing this, you have to think he has clearance from his doctors. He can't really come back without that as players have to be insured to play and without medical clearance, he couldn't get insurance and therefore wouldn't be able to return whether he wanted to or not. That said, passing a test in a lab is one thing; subjecting yourself to the ongoing stress of real-life professional football is another. He's obviously willing to take whatever risk is required to play again and that's up to him.

I can't see any way he'd be a good signing for Newcastle; probably the last thing they need. If he does come back, the process is going to be slow and gradual, accumulating time bit-by-bit off the bench, then a game or two, with plenty of rest between action. That's the way cardiac recovery works. I doubt if he signed somewhere now, that he'd be playing ninety minutes much before May and certainly not twice a week. With the games coming thick and fast and the nature of a relegation battle being all-hands-to-the-pump, he's really in no fit condition to offer Newcastle what they need at present. If they stay up, he might be a shrewd addition next season but really, not in this window.

The best place for Eriksen would be a mid-table team with some depth in their squad, where pressure was minimal in terms of relegation or top four, where the demands on him to contribute would be minimal and where he could slowly work his way back to form and fitness. That ain't Newcastle.

Sydenham by birth. Selhurst by the Grace of God.

That is correct - the team that fits your description is us !!
As I said before he would bring skill, calmness and tactical sense. I am sure Andersen would be pleased as well.

No brainer, get it done, agent Anderson get on the phone to your mate.

Eriksen would be fantastic in our midfield.

I sent him a get well soon message when he had he's cardiac arrest.

Short term deal with a view to a longer deal.

I always thought he should have given up playing, but he seems intent on restarting his career.

Can't see him going to Newcastle, not sure he would want to be in a relegation dogfight.

Probably more suited to a mid-table team where there is less pressure.

Considering he was in London previously, then Brentford or Palace would seem better options.

I'd feel constantly nervous watching him. I guess the one benefit is you could get him on a 6 month contract as a try before you buy because he's not going to have anyone offering more than that.

In terms of the team, if you take our midfield 3 he wouldn't be one of the two who are harassing so that would have him as the advanced one and so the next season Gallagher. Can't help but feel that would block Eze's progression.

You'd need two absolute machines to play alongside him to carry him defensively, especially if Olise, Zaha or Edouard are two of the three wide players. We don't have those machines at the minute. A fit McArthur and probably Kouyate are as close as we get.
