Djed Spence has made 6 appearances for Tottenham this season but hasn't started a game.
In the PL games he has only entered the fray in the dying embers.
He has only featured in 4 PL games in his career and not started in any so his experience in the top flight is very limited.

Has certainly showed his attacking prowess either playing at right-back or right wing-back when I have seen him play in previous seasons. He does provide a great deal of energy down the right flank.

It was Tony Pulis who signed him for Middlesbrough on a free transfer from Fulham.Conte signed him for Tottenham from Middlesbrough and I believe the deal was £12.5 Mill rising to £20 Mill.

Some of the donkey's Spurs have played at RB ,Emerson and Doherty in front of him would make me question whats going on .

A few cup games playing go hung football has maybe given a false impression of his abilities as a defender . Conte obviously doesnt trust him but then Conte plays football in a straight jacket , maybe he is just at the wrong club .

And we still need a striker

But Conte is (a ) very defence minded and (b ) very conservative in player selection.

For example, that guy Bryan down the right is exceptional. but he doesn't fit the Conte way.

Also, the two players you mentioned would walk into our team

If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities.

Spence impressed me on the games I’ve seen him play , but there are a few caveats.
He is more of an attacking high energy right wing back rather that a defensive right back in a conventional back four.
This doesn’t mean he couldn’t play right back, but he hasn’t really been tested defensively at Premier League level.
Nonetheless, we have been crying out for more pace on our right hand side and he definitely ticks this box and would provide more attacking threat than our current options.
It may be that Vieira is considering the option of a back three with wing backs so a move for Spence could make sense in this regard.

My thinking as well, and despite his limitations Schlupp could probably do a reasonable job as a LWB in such a system with Mitchell (who's provided several excellent overlapping runs a crosses in the past) as an understudy.

Me too.

I wouldn't be massively against this however I have to say if both fit and firing, I'd have Schlupp as an 'option' on the bench, LWB being one of a few positions he could be used in, and start Tyrick.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

There seems to be quite few sites now claiming we are very interested in signing him on loan.

Personally, I feel he would be an excellent signing. Even better if there was a clause to make the move permanent - but I guess beggars can’t be choosers!

Would be interested in a loan with a purchase option.

If not, would rather we save the pennies and buy the right man in the summer

PV mentioned that he wanted experience.
This is Spence's first season in the PL and he has only made 4 PL appearances.

Judging by the names that we've linked with PV ain't gonna get it

PV might be a very disappointed gentleman at the end of the Transfer Window.
Perhaps even a tad disillusioned.
