Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

Their aims are flawed. They want the UK to stop new production of gas and oil without considering where we will have to then buy it from. i.e. Countries with far less concerns for the environment than us.

I've been saying for 20 years that the biggest issue is methane and now at last they have started to admit that. I've also been saying that population growth is also the issue.

Scary fact. It took 30,000 years for the human population to hit 1 billion, in approx the year 1800. In the last 12 years the population has INCREASED by 1 billion!!!!!

There are 1000's of sites around the world releasing methane into the atmosphere that could be plugged. Russia has allowed one to release billions of tons since the 70's after a failed oil drill.

They tried setting fire to it in the mid 80's thinking it would burn off in a few years. Its still burning and is now a tourist attraction!!!!!!!

Just one of these sites releases the equivalent of 67 million cars GHG's into the atmosphere.

If they were all to be plugged it would reduce the worlds temp by 0.3 degrees.

Rather than focusing on unachievable aims they should be highlighting facts like these and pressing for solutions.

They are what I call professional protesters.

CND, High speed rail, insulate Britain, climate change, just stop oil etc etc. When they give up on this one they will move on to the next.
