Out of form but young enough and has the technical ability to turn it round with Vieira's arm round him. At the right price he would add some much needed guile to the CM area.

Great just what we need another one with a big reputation who may or may not make it.

That really made me ‘lol’ upon reading. Very droll yet suitably dramatic. I do fear however it is probably the necessary commentary on such musings.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

I may have been a bit over the top .

What I mean is I would rather have a proven player of a certain quality than take a risk on somebody who early in their career was thought to be the next big thing and as of yet it hasn't worked out.

I don't think we can afford to take a risk in that position. However if he is PV's pick so be it the man is more qualified that I will ever be to pick a midfielder.

I agree - Max Mayer anyone?

I 100% agree Badger, it was probably the way I read it in my own mind that made me chuckle!

Football, and unfortunately our club, has long been the victim of the 'get rich quick' mentality. I think substance over pie's in the sky is sometimes needed - hence the 'necessary commentary' albeit with a rib tickle!

Guehi, Andersen, Olise, Eze - Somewhat untested academy player, bloke who was relegated with Fulham, Championship winger and midfielder: all have been superb and astute acquisitions IMHO. I think there was more to their procurement than just playstation-esque guesswork and excitement. I would like to think should Aouar ever venture Selhurst bound it would be a well researched decision.

Also, before it's mentioned, Hughes isn't the worst signing in our history, as with JPM and Edouard, JIC anybody was considering pointing out other recent signings - they just have not worked out sensationally (yet)!

I agree - John Bostock

If he's cheap, doesn't want massive wages and knows he has to earn his place, I wouldn't be against it. He's not worth big money for us - too many ifs.

Worth a loan until the end of the season? May as well to give us an option. I don't think he's playing regularly these days but haven't looked into it.
