Forget buys or loans, I’d even take a, “do you fancy a game this weekend, bring your boots”.

Maybe we are doing them a disservice and a couple of players will be signed but as is the norm with us I’m just waiting for a repeat of the usual Parish quote, “it’s a difficult time of year and we tried but we couldn’t get deals over the line.”

Of course it’s difficult but it’s by no means impossible. Trouble is by the time Palace get round to attempting their business all the other clubs have already bought their players including probably the ones we wanted.

If you look at our recent business we signed two keepers and have now got rid of one without replacing and have sent more players out on loan. We must have the thinnest squad in the league by a street. It looks like our idea of s transfer window is reducing our wage bill.

Another week of the window shuts. Clubs left, right, and centre have already done their business. Brentford, Southampton, Villa, Wolves, Leeds, Forest...all clubs of roughly our stature have improved their squads. We, on the other hand, desperate as we are to strengthen not only haven't signed anyone; we don't even get rumours of possible signings anymore. The only sign of life at Palace HQ is a meeting between the CEO and a minority owner who don't like each other and neither whom has much say in the transfer budget anyway. The fact that we're not in a relegation battle appears to be very much more down to luck than judgment since we seem determined to f*** up whatever progress the manager and players have made on the pitch. I for one am fast running out of patience with the miserable excuse that passes for leadership at this club.

Was a bit bored, so thought id have a look at transfers INTO the EPL so far this window, 27 players, 5 of which are Chelsea & only 5 loans. This final week of the window 'could' be entertaining.

I hope he dosent play in our remaining fixture against Forest, with the comment below you just know that the only 2 goals that he will score would be against us -

The older he gets the fewer goals he scores. Big lump who contributes nothing to the overall play. I’ll be amazed if he scores more than two goals before the end of the season. We’re better off sticking with Mateta:
